What motivated you to think about making this splendid art?
The Kantara movie has shown the local tradition and culture of Coastal Karnataka which is also known as Tulunadu and the divine powers of the demi god “Panjurli”. The ritual of worshipping Panjurli is called “Bhooota Kola” and the makeup, costume, dance of this ritual is very unique and eye catching. I thought I need to paint this and show it to the world

How do you feel after completing any painting?
I am very happy with the result as I have added some part in the painting which was not there in the reference image including legs and leg ornaments(Gaggara). The face painting is also shown clearly with the sparkle in the eyes. The painting has gone viral in social media and very excited to know that everyone liked the painting

I am also a freelance artist for “TARANGA” Kannada weekly magazine and my illustrations for stories are published every week.

Would you like to tell our audience about the very minor and deep things in painting that every artist need to focus on that?
The artist should study the subject before painting and focus on every minute details. I have focused on face makeup, colour, ornaments, costume, palm leaves, flowers and other minute details. The face expression is very important and I have painted eye with natural sparkle.
