After President election, Droupati Murmu became the new president of India. NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar won the election to become the next vice-president of India, defeated candidate Margaret Alva by a wide gap.
Current Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu will be replaced by Jagdeep Dhankhar
M.V. Naidu will be the vice president of India till10th of August 2022.
Jagdeep Dhankhar got 528 votes out of total 725 votes cast. Opposition candidate Margaret Alva got 182 votes.
