Sunak is only 42. The only man who was younger than him when he became PM was William Pitt the Younger, who became the last Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1783 at age 24.

Rishi Sunak was born into an Indian household in the Southhampton region of the United Kingdom. His father is a general practitioner (GP) who works for the NHS. Punjab is the home of his grandparents. Sunak’s family reportedly emigrated to East Africa in search of a better life, but when difficulties began there due to strong anti-Indian sentiments, his grandfather changed his base to Britain. Sunak graduated from Stanford University and Oxford University. He is wed to Akshata Murthy, the daughter of Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys. Anoushka and Krishna are the two daughters of the 2009 wedding couple.
