The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination, commonly referred to as SSC MTS, is a recruitment examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in various government departments and offices across India. The examination is conducted in two tiers – Tier I (Preliminary) and Tier II (Main) – to test the candidates’ knowledge, skills and aptitude for the MTS post. Candidates who qualify Tier I are eligible to appear for Tier II. Candidates who clear both Tier I and II are eligible for document verification and appointment. The MTS post is a non-gazetted, non-ministerial post, and the pay scale is Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
